Privacy policy
How AskSEO handles information on askseo.me and our free tools at tools.askseo.me.
Last updated 18 October 2026
This policy explains what information AskSEO collects when you use askseo.me and our free tools at tools.askseo.me, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to answer you, run the tools and keep them safe. We don’t sell your information, and we don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
If you have a question about your data, email digital@askseo.me.
What we collect and why
When you contact us
- The contact form asks for your name, email address and your message, plus anything else you choose to add. We use it to reply to you. Each message is emailed to our team and kept on our server so we don’t lose it.
- WhatsApp and email. If you message us on WhatsApp or by email, we receive what you send through those services, and their own privacy policies apply to them.
When you use the website demos
- Website audit. You enter a website address. We visit that public website to prepare the audit. The report is kept for 20 minutes so it can load, then deleted.
- Chatbot demo. You enter a website address, or upload a document, and chat with a demo assistant. The replies are written by an AI model that runs on our own servers, using the website’s public content or your document and your messages. The conversation is kept only while the demo is open and is deleted after 30 minutes; an uploaded document is deleted as soon as it has been read. Please don’t type personal or confidential information into the demo.
When you use the free tools without an account
- The keywords, domains or text you enter are used to produce your result, and kept only for a short time afterwards so results load quickly and reports stay available: from 10 minutes (backlink checks) to 6 hours (Play Store keyword results) and up to 24 hours (plagiarism checks). Then they are deleted.
When you create a free AskSEO Tools account
- Email address, and the name or agency name you give us. Your email is stored encrypted.
- If you sign in with Google: your Google account’s email address, name and a Google account ID, so we can recognise you next time. We don’t receive your Google password, and we ask Google only for your basic profile and email.
- If you add a passkey: a public key that lets your device prove it’s you. Your fingerprint, face or screen lock never leave your device.
- Sign-in records: the browser and device type (for example “Chrome on Mac”) and when you were last active, so you can see and sign out your devices in your account settings.
- Saved keywords and search history: what you save in the tools while signed in. This is stored encrypted, and only you can see it.
- Email codes: when you sign in with a code, we email you a 6-digit code that expires after 10 minutes.
Security checks
To keep the free tools available and stop abuse, we use Cloudflare Turnstile, a security check that may ask you to confirm you’re human. Cloudflare processes technical information about your browser and connection to do this. We also use short-lived limits based on your IP address to stop spam; on the contact form, your IP address is used only for that and isn’t saved with your message.
Cookies and similar storage
- Essential cookies only. On tools.askseo.me we use cookies to keep you signed in (for up to 30 days) and to protect the tools from automated abuse. The security check may set its own cookies.
- Your browser’s storage remembers small preferences, for example whether you have signed in before, so we can show the right screen.
- We don’t use advertising, analytics or social media tracking cookies.
Who we share information with
We share information only with services that help us run the website and tools, and only what they need:
- Google, if you choose to sign in with Google.
- Cloudflare, for the security check.
- An email delivery service, to send sign-in codes and to deliver contact form messages to our team.
- Our hosting provider, whose servers store the website, the tools and your account.
We don’t sell or rent your information, and we don’t share it for advertising. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Your account and its saved searches: until you delete your account.
- Sign-in sessions: up to 30 days, or until you sign out.
- Email codes: 10 minutes.
- Website demos and free tool results: from 10 minutes up to 24 hours, as described above.
- Contact form messages: up to two years, so we can answer you and keep a record of our conversation.
Your choices and rights
- See and change your details in your AskSEO Tools account: name, agency name, how you sign in and your signed-in devices.
- Delete your account at any time from your account settings. This permanently deletes your account, your saved searches and your history.
- Disconnect Google at any time by removing AskSEO Tools from the third-party access list in your Google Account. Your AskSEO Tools account stays, and you can keep logging in with an email code.
- Ask us to access, correct or delete other information we hold about you, such as contact form messages, by emailing digital@askseo.me. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR; we will help you use them.
Children
Our website and tools are meant for businesses and adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the date at the top.
